City of Wyoming’s “Clean Up Days” everything to be picked up must be out by Monday, May 10th. The garbage truck will start in the North end of Wyoming and move south. They will not revisit an area they have already picked up.
It will be free to all residential households in the corporate limits of the City of Wyoming. Per state laws they cannot pick up any electrical items. Large non electrical appliances and large pieces of furniture as in couches, large chairs, mattress and box springs will require a tag at a cost of $10 each. Tags can be purchased at City Hall. City Hall’s hours are Monday – Friday, 7:30 to noon and 12:30 to 4:00 p.m. Anything placed out should be easily picked up by one man and placed into the back of the garbage truck. Bundle items when necessary so they may be picked up quickly. The following will not be picked up: 1) Electrical items. 2) Landscape waste. 3) Hazardous material as in kerosene, fuel oil, paint thinners, batteries and tires. 4) No bricks, building materials and long poles as these items damage the garbage truck.
Murphy’s has the right to refuse to pick up any piles of garbage that is larger than a 4 ft. by 4 ft. pile or contained items mixed in that are not allowed.
Any large items set out without the required bulk tags will be in violation of City’s Ordinance and subject to possible fines.
